We hope you all had a fantastic Christmas and New Year, and managed to avoid the colds and flu that have been doing the rounds!

The Microdermabrasion demonstration and free trial proved extremely popular, as was our Limited Edition Christmas Facial. Skin was left feeling soft and cleaner and visibly improved for days afterwards from both facials on offer that evening. And thanks to Chiltern FM's Black Thunder for all the support on the day.

Well now that party time is now well and truly over and we're all back at work following our regular routines we have decided to treat you with a special offer...

For those of you who have not been in recently, our new Price booklets were launched on December 1st. All up to date with all the new treatments we've added over the year and just a few price changes, just pop in next time you're in town to pick one up.

Wedding Spectacular

Next month the Beauty of Bedford Team will again be attending the Wedding Spectacular at the Bedford Swan Hotel. We will be presenting our Wedding and Hen packages with free demonstations of our Bio Sculpture Gel Nails. So come along on Sunday 5th February and be sure to tell anyone who may be getting married to attend the event.

The winner of December's Online Competition was Kim Bentley. WELL DONE! Thank you to everyone for entering, and look out for January's new competition popping up on the website soon.

Well, this is Christmas... and what a year it has been!

Firstly, and most importantly, I would like to Thank all of you for your custom this past year. After all, without all of our customers, there would not be a Beauty of Bedford. We hope we have a provided a warm and friendly environment where you have felt comfortable and have enjoyed the treatments that we offer. We take great pride in choosing treatments and products that actually work and make a real difference to our skin. Thank you for your testimonials that are all on our website; real proof of how fantastic our treatments are.

Team Additions

This year we have seen 2 new members join our team; Amy, our part time beauty therapist and Lianna, our Saturday girl. We have also introduced lots of lovely treatments with packages for Hen Parties, Weddings and teens. Our website has also developed with a very popular beauty dilemmas page, beauty hints and tips and an online magazine with useful and interesting beauty related articles as well as links to global health news. We have also made it possible to buy Beauty of Bedford vouchers online.

Manchester Training

What about the past month? Well, Selina and I went to Manchester to learn about our new treatment called SPACE. It really is a totally relaxing experience. Great for those who are always rushing around and lead stressful lives, it sends you into a deep sleep and you awake feeling calm, serene and revitalised. An hour treatment only costs £35; light strokes and gentle pressures are used to work the energy lines of the head in order to release endorphins in the brain, based on cranial stimulation practised by Tibetan monks.

Microdermabrasion

We have also been preparing for our Open Day, in particular learning about our new facial - Microdermabrasion. It's already proving a very popular facial and we haven't even launched it yet! Spaces for the fee trial went almost immediately and bookings are already being taken throughout December and January for the real thing. You will be amazed by the results - I certainly was! Featured in many magazines and newspapers, celebrity followers include Liz Hurley, Madonna and Jude Law; this facial is an excellent and progressive treatment for ageing skin, lines and wrinkles, open pores, blackheads, pigmentation, blemish scars, acne scars, stretch marks and much, much more.

Beauty of Bedford Open Day

Talking of our Open Day, it's not long now! Doors will open on Monday 5th December at 2pm and we will be graced by the presence of Chiltern FM's Black Thunder as part of their Christmas Countdown. So listen out for us on the radio; you may be able to win the on-air competition! An expert from Crystal Clear will be able to answer any questions you may have on Microdermabrasion as well as providing free trials, and our Limited Edition Karin Herzog Christmas Facials are available at only £25 on this day only. As I write this email, we have one space left at 7pm due to a cancellation so get in touch quickly to get your space! We are also holding a charity raffle to raise money for Keech Cottage Children's Hospice. We have some fantastic prizes! First prize is tea for two at the Ritz. So a very special thanks to Mandy and Philip for donating this prize. Other prizes include a giant Christmas Bunny and Facial, free membership at Curves, a cut and blow dry at Nicholas Anthony Hair Salon, a Chiltern Radio CD Prize Pack, a Fake Bake Spray Tan, Karin Herzog Hand Treatment and a fantastic pair of Batten Edwards tweezers. We would love to raise as much money as we can to support this charity as they rely heavily on donations. So please come along to our Open Day and buy lots of raffle tickets!

Lindsay Brown was our Christmas Facial winner in November's online competition. Well done Lindsay! Your voucher is in the post... Runner up prizes will also be arriving shortly - thank you all for entering. Look out for our December competition which should update on the website shortly.

Talking of websites, I've been a bit slack in producing articles for the online magazine lately but I'm back on top of everything now. A new article will appear fortnightly; this week I've been looking at having a Christmas Pre-Tox which sounds much better than a New Year Detox! At least this way round you can reward yourself after being so good rather than punishing yourself for being so bad over Christmas and New Year!
